Ollie K. Mears, owner of Mears Management, specializing in developing solutions from a business management perspective, provides an umbrella of mentoring services for schools, businesses, organizations and individuals.

Unlike most other consultants who run the gamut of generalities, my focus is primarily on helping clients prevent and resolve problems that have great potential to become legal issues. Whether it's student behavior or the teacher's lack of classroom management skills, whether it's customer or personnel disputes, whether it's education, employment, budgeting or other life skills management issues, the proactive objective remains the same. Once the courts are involved, even if the situation is mediated, all persons are still lawfully bound by the finalities of the case decisions. Hence, whenever possible, disputes should be promptly and properly settled.

Bottom Line: Planning to prevent anticipated problems and to counteract unexpected issues eliminates the need for constant micromanaging.

As a management consultant, I am an analyst and strategist.

I help determine options for change and review the pros and cons of each.

However, all final decisions are made by the client.
